Not quite in the position to buy one yet but the R25 is one great looking tug and as a retired ENC 21 years in the US Navy the R25 seems to have what I would like. I was looking at the R23 online reading that it can travel 23 miles an hour getting 3 mpg and unless my math is wrong that gives it equal or possibly better range than the R25. One day I'll get mine or I should say ours just looking at the facts trying to figure it all out.

I have not been out on the water in either boat. However, I have been on both on their respective trailers. There is a vast difference between the 23 and 25. If you can handle the extra weight, size and price tag, I would say that the 25 should be your choice.

I've never been on either one but it does appear that the r25 is a lot more boat and my truck a ram 3500 drw will handle it.

I have not been on a 23. The 25 is a lot of boat but my GMC 2500 Duramax handles it quite easily. I have been compiling fuel consumption data on my R-25 and will post it tomorrow....

My R25, the way I run it, has a 450 mile range on one tank fill, with 30 miles left over to get me into the next marina.
ymmv

That 450 mile range is with which engine and what speed were you going.

Tks for the info Rich

I looked at some of your pictures and love your D700 images I'm still using my D70 next upgrade there either D750 or an FX body. Anyway nice pictures.
