Subject: Cruising with 47' USCG Motor Lifeboat with grandson today
While waiting for our new 2018 R-27 it was decided to take a ride on a local water using a 47' USCG Motor Lifeboat. It took on some water at times and without bilge pumps it had to go into dry dock for maintenance. It was a real hit with everyone there. 😉
This boat has a hard chined deep "V" planing hull and can exceed its hull speed. 😱 The model boat exemplifies this.
