Hi Downsized1, We're not in Delray Beach, but we are just north of you in Stuart. We have owned Gratitude for a year now and we are starting to use her more. Maybe we'll cross paths in West Palm Beach (Peanut Island) sometime.

Also in the area in Lake Park, about ten minutes from our dock to Peanut Island.

Left Stuart, my home port, on August 21st and I am cruising towards the St. Johns River. In Cocoa Beach now, going slow and enjoying the Indian River lagoon. Will turn around from the St. Johns in late October and then head to the Florida Keys for the winter. Plan to stay at Big Pine Key. Hope to see you on the water as I will be permanently cruising.

Sounds like a small south Florida rendezvous may be in order when it gets a little cooler. I was just using Peanut Island as a midway point between Delray and Stuart, I know it gets crazy there on weekends. If anyone one is interested maybe we could meet on a weekend in October, there or some place a little more quiet. Maybe on the weekend mmcdonald47 is on his way back through our area. Just a thought.

We are planning to be in that area late October. We're leaving out of Stuart mid September, headed to Charleston area. Would really be interested in a gathering if the timing works.

Let's see what we can do. It would be great to meet other Tug owners. This would be a little gathering of boats on the east coast of Florida, not taking anything away from the big Florida west coast rendezvous in 2014, can't wait for that one. We could anchor out somewhere, or get some slips for the weekend. We will keep it simple. What dates should we look at?

Where might you be staying at Big Pine Key. We are looking at options for the Keys after the SW Florida Rendezvous.

Just asking, would the weekend of October 19-20th work? Next question, anchoring out or a marina? We have several nice places between Stuart and West Palm Beach for both.

Let us know...we'd be interested. But possible conflict with a Tug gathering in Apalachicola on October 25,6,7

I'll be in Ireland, on a side trip, until October 12th. The boat will be in Cocoa Beach, but I can head back down right after that. Knotflying was asking where I'd be staying in Big Pine Key, I'll be at my sister-in-law's house at her dock. There may be dockage at No Name Harbor, but I don't think they allow you to stay on the boat. I won't be down until December as I am still trying to get to the St. Johns. I'm busier now that I've retired, then I was when I was working. 😀

Sounds like October 19th and 20th would be a date that might work. We have a couple of ideas for nice places that would work for anchoring out. One would be the very north end of Lake Worth AKA Old Port Cove. Another place would be in Jupiter about three miles north of the Jupiter lighthouse. It's a little sand bar on the west side of the intercoastal waterway, just south of red marker 44. If anyone knows of a nice place farther south, lets talk about that. If a marina would work better, I know a couple in Jupiter and North Palm, but we haven't been any further south so I don't have any ideas about them. I know Stuart is a long way from Delray and Lake Park, but we would have options there too. Let us know. Thanks

Forgot to add, Peanut Island would still be a great place too. It will be crowded until late afternoon, but should be quiet after that. Nice place to swim and go to the beach.

The October 19 and 20th dates work for us and Old Port Cove or Peanut Island area would be great but willing to travel further.

Hi Phil, sounds great, glad you can make it. Lets see who else replies and then we can talk about a location. Jupiter is about mid-point for you and I, but we are open to traveling either direction too.

Are you all still planning on a get together in October. I return from Ireland on the 13th of October. I'll be in Cocoa Beach and I was planning on heading down to Stuart upon my return. Just let me know. Thanks, look forward to meeting you all.

I might want to join in on this as well. Am based in Sebastian, FL just about 50 miles N. of Stuart.

Yes, we would still like too. It would fun to meet other Tug owners. Would the 19th and 20th still work? Please PM me and we will work out the details. Thanks
