Cutwater 26 D3-200 Impeller location

I'm curious to know where the water impeller is located on the Volvo D3. Is it facing forward and accessed from the cabin step area or is it on the prop shaft end facing to rear of boat. Thanks... 🙂

Your manual should show you the location. You could find the through-hull fitting and follow the hose to the engine. Your impeller should be located in the area where the hose connects to the engine.

Rick: Thanks.... but I have R-25 with Yanmar 4BY2-150 engine. I do not have the Cutwater's Volvo D3-200 nor its manual.

It appears that the pump is located in a similar area as the pump on the Yanmar.

The impeller is removed from the back side of the pump on the D3 Volvo. This is a lot easier that the yanmar as the belt does not have to come off.

FYI... Granted the belt does have to be removed on the Yanmar but it's not really a tough issue. Carefully placing a flat head screwdriver end under the belt makes it quite easy the slip the belt off. The trick is for aligning the impeller pulley so that access to the impeller housing bolts can be accessed.
