I understand that the 26 early configuration had an issue with water in the exhaust system sloshing back into the engine during braking while trailering. This has caused several engine failures. Sounds like the factory has reworked the riser but wonder if anyone out there has had experience with this?

thanks

There were a few issues caused by this but most kept the boats in the water and didn't experience it. Volvo stood behind all of the problems even though it wasn't engine related failures. This wasn't just Cutwater related, it was also on the smaller Ranger Tugs. All engines and designs have been addressed and no more failures have occurred. If there is a specific question about this I can answer, please email me directly.

Best regards,

Andrew Custis
