I Think I Can
I recently had the batteries replaced in my Cutwater 28. Unknown to me, they hooked up the batteries differently so the galley would only work with the combiner battery on with the house battery. Because of this, the fridge leaked out thawed ice and stained the floor really bad.

How solid is the flooring glued down? Will it pry out so I can re-finish it, or replace it?

I recently replaced mine on my C28. The ply had started to delaminate at the door pretty badly. I actually replaced it with a vinyl product (https://www.fisheriessupply.com/lonseal ... olly/mw370) that I really like and it has held up very well. Matches the plywood nicely. That area in the boat gets a lot of abuse....

As to pulling the floor up: Got to admit it was a pain. Finally figured out the best route (for me) after several different attempts were made. I used a floor scraper once I was able to peel up the edge by the door. I then used an industrial strength contact cement remover to clean the floor up. And, finally, contact cement to lay the new vinyl flooring (3M 77). If you go the vinyl route, make sure you sand the minor manufacturing imperfections in the floor prior to laying the vinyl. While they were no big deal with the ply, they will be seen with the vinyl.

I will caution you on the floor scraper also. Be very careful near the sides as it will gouge the edge if you get too close. I know from experience. I had to do some minor gel coat repair prior to installing the new floor.

Good luck.

Also on the story about your batteries, did you resolve this? When I replaced my batteries, luckily I took pictures prior to doing so. I should have looked at them closer when finishing the job. After reinstallation, I went for a family cruise and had a very similar issue. I could only get things to work with the 'crossover' on. Only after looking at my pictures more closely did I realize that I had actually left one of the less visible ground cables disconnected. It had fallen down behind one of the batteries. Just sayin...

Pulling up the floor is a challenge but completely doable. I replaced the wood in the V berth area in the C26 which is the same as the C28. The floors are glued down with Contact cement. I used a hair dryer to help assist in loosening the glue and separating the wood from the fiberglass sole. You may be able to pull it up with out damaging it. I would call Fluid Motion and see if they have or can cut the flooring piece that you need. When I had the damaged floor. Brent Reed The Cutwater Dealer made arrangements for Fluid Motion to cut new flooring and ship it to me. I replaced the flooring with new wood.

If you start to pry it up, getting a little acetone underneath it will definitely release the adhesive.
