A Cutwater 28 on display today at the the boat show held on the docks of the Catawba Yacht Club in Port Clinton, Ohio....
Other than the position of the head being in the master berth, it is quite impressive... I was favorably impressed...

A Cutwater 26 and 28 were on display at the Bay Bridge Boat Show today and they were looking good. The Rangers had a full complement of a 21, two 25's, a 27, and a 29 on display. Mark from the factory was there assisting both dealers. It seemed the Rangers and Cutwaters had more lookers than many of the other boats. Usually at a boat show, all the boats would have a couple of lookers on them. Not so today. Boat after boat, all you would see is the dealers sitting down and twiddling their thumbs. Very few of the big boats were new. Many of them were quite old and some of them weren't even cleaned up for display, IMO. The Cutwaters and Rangers were looking good though and lets hope they made some sales.

Very similar observation Rick... The Cutwater had a stream of folks waiting in line to board while the twin 200-250-300-350 outboard powered go fasts nearby were standing empty... Far more used boats on display than previous years - including a couple by Skipper Bud that were just this side of junk... The used boats appear to be the dealers gimlet eyed assessment of what the market is willing to pay for - I wouldn't pay what they were asking for them, but that's me...

Well, back to dealing with the flooding... The chicken yard is finally high and dry - and happy chickens out there this morning... Meanwhile there is still ponding in the South 40 to look at... Jeez, are we ever going to be able to plow? I came back in to fetch the backhoe - so ho ho ho, away we go...

We saw the same thing this weekend. There is a 26 and 28 Cutwater at the Victoria Floating Boatshow this weekend, along with full compliment of Ranger Tugs. Lots of people checking them out and very favourable comments. They also had prime spot as first display when you come down the walkway so people not even attending the show had a good view of them as they strolled the boardwalk above and commented how good they looked. It was the first time we had a look at the Cutwater and we quite liked it. Every comment we heard was very positive about the boats and people were lined up to get aboard.

Jeff Messmer was at the event with the dealer, doing a great job as usual. It was wonderful to finally meet him, I certainly feel like I know him after watching the YouTube Video of the R-29 over and over as we made our decision on the boat 🙂 Ours is finally in production and we will be aboard Sand Dollar in June, can't wait.

Hello, all. I met Jeff when he was still at C-Dory at the Seattle boat show in 2007?, the year they had the first Ranger without the cabin. Nice guy. Very helpful.

i've figured it out! All those videos by Jeff are just practice and testing the waters for his public image. As of 05/06/11, the YouTube video Ranger Jeff introduces R27 has gotten over 17,000 hits. That is hugely up from the 1,602 views the R25SC video has a year ago. Ranger Jeff is growing in popularity!

Will he run for office? No, clearly he is maneuvering for his own REALITY SHOW. Imagine. He could interview the irascible denny-o on a tug. Interview our favorite story teller and true character - captd. Think of all the interesting folks he could invite on his show from TugNuts.

I follow this stuff, I know the signs. For example, i'll bet you didn't know that Paris Hilton is about to debut her own reality show-The World According to Paris on Oxygen-you heard it from me first!!! Can't wait for that one. Anyway, kudos to Jeff in all those videos. They're about to pay off for the big time. Ranger Jeff could go viral.

I am not irascible - whatever the heck that means - a but crusty maybe, but definitely not irascible... What, are you an english major?
Irascible? mutter, mutter....

That is funny. It sounds like you are on to me. Ranger Jeff, faster than a speeding tug, able to leap from boat show to boat show in a single bound... At least my kids still think I am a super hero 😉
