Hi guys. Has anyone else heard about a new Cutwater 32 Command Bridge w/outboards? This is supposed to be a very real fact that one is on the horizon. Louie

Since my better half doesn't like diesel engines and I want a command bridge on our next boat... I would love to see a C302 with a command bridge. I am going our local Cutwater dealer next week and I will ask him and see what he has to say.

Rumor I heard was a 34.

ixlr8. I also would like to hear what your dealer has to say? Louie

I paid a visit to the local Cutwater dealer today. They had a 302S next to a 30CB, made for some quick and interesting comparisons. I saw some things about the Cutwaters that didn't impress me and I need to get my better half on board a boat to see what she thinks. They will affect her more than me. Comparing the 302S and the 30CB, it looks like it would be relatively easy to turn the 302S into a 302CB. Most of the structure looks to be the same. So I asked the dealer about the possibilities of a 302CB. He said it was being seriously talked about at the factory but there was a major concern. The 30S and 30CB are displacement hull boats that are very stable and the 302S has a planing hull which they are concerned may not be as stable. The concern is that with the extra weight up high on a 302CB, both structure and people, that the 302 hull would not handle and be as stable as they would like. Especially since the 302 is a 45+mph boat and the 30 is a 20mph boat. He didn't come out and state it, but reading between the lines I got the feeling that sometime in the next year a prototype 302CB would be built to test the concerns. A decision would be made whether or not to build the 302CB based on those results. So nothing concrete or definite but enough to keep me interested. I won't be upgrading until the Fall of 2020 so I have time to see what they do.

I went to my local Cutwater dealer for their Demo day today and I took a ride on the 302S and the 30CB. I decided my next boat will be a CB of some sort. I liked things about both boats, OB vs diesel, that would make a decision between the two very difficult. BUT, my dealer told me that he just received word this week that the 302CB was a go and he could start taking orders for a 2020 302CB. He had no clue when delivery would be. He was guessing delivery mid winter, if I ordered today, as apparently there is already a waiting list.
