Cutwater C-24 Coupe

First I am new to this forum and would like to greet everyone.
My Wife and I have 25 years of boating experience with vessels ranging from an old 17' Wellcraft to the 34' Cruisers Inc. that we presently own.
We will be retiring on the Chesapeake in a few years and are looking forward to doing some traveling by boat.
We are very interested in the Cutwater C-24 Coupe and would like to hear comments good and bad from past and present owners.

I have been boating about 4 years in Hilton Head SC and had a 26 foot hurricane (open hull). It’s too hot here so we looked for a boat with air conditioning and a lot of amenities that bigger boats have and settled on the Cutwater 24 coupe. Overall I’m extremely happy with everything except the A/C. It handles wonderfully and is built well. So far I only get between 1 1/2 and 2 hours of a/c but am checking the load on the batteries to see if they are up to par. Hopefully this problem will be solved. A lot of people get a small generator which solves that particular problem. The techs have been very responsive to all my questions. Overall I am extremely please with my purchase. Good luck.

We have a 2017 C242 and we have been very happy with it. We are in the Pacific Northwest, so air conditioning isn't necessary, but the heater is important. Since we usually anchor instead of staying at marinas, we bought a small Honda generator to power the electrical appliances. Solar panels keep the refrigerator and lights running indefinitely as long as the sunshine shows up most days while anchored. The holding tank and the water tank limit us to about six days between marina visits.
Our cruising speed is typically 30 mph to 35 mph on choppy water, and 50 mph when the water is a little smoother. The newer C24's have 250 HP engines, while the older C242's have 300 HP engines.

Pocket Yacht is the Chesapeake Cutwater/Ranger Tug dealer. They are doing an open house at their location in Grasonville Sep 25-27 and Oct 2-4 because the Annapolis boat show was canceled. You could see the 24 in person as well as compare it to the other models.
