Finally started making some changes. I removed the wine cooler and finished off the opening with some wood trim. Then the roof. Tired of trying to find some way to get up there... so I created a ladder from the second helm step and connected it to the overhead rail. My welding could have been a bit better, but it works. Pictures are in the album.

Now if I could get the boatyard to add some water...

Very cool ladder, and great idea! Do I have to pay you a royalty if I steal your idea and build one for my C-28? 😀

I just used a bit of SS tubing and few Sea Dog fittings to extend the standard step the came with the boat. It was too hard on the knees to climb up to roof.

Also wanted to mention that while using the sea dog brackets, the set screws are basically worthless. They are thin walled and the allen wrench will distort the screw quite easily. I replaced the set screws with Button Head Socket Cap Screws and they were a 1/4 - 28 fine thread. I had to grind them to fit,as they were too long, but they they have plenty of meat on them and you can apply a lot more pressure than the stock set screws.
