I had a reverse gear failure on my 2014 RT25SC. In the process of the repair we found that the flexible coupling, part of the damper plate attached to the engine flywheel was destroyed. See photo below. The damper plate consists of items #3 Adaptor Ring, #4 Flexible Coupling and #45 Plate in the photo. We also noticed that item #45 was not installed on our damper plate. The VP part number is 21752671. We read in the lititure that this part should not be used with a ZF45-1 transmission. The transmission on our engine is basically a ZF45A with some propriatory VP parts.
My question to the factory, should this plate #45 be installed on the damper plate for my engine/transmission configuration.
