After the removal of the aftercooler on my D3 I noticed the oil cooler coolant hose laying tight against the engine stringer. With the aftercooler in place it is hard to see the cooler and hose unless you're looking for it. I reached down and pulled the hose away from the stringer to find it worn from rubbing on the stringer. There appears to be about 50% of the thickness on the hose worn away. During the engine install at Fluid Motion the technician should have installed a softer on the hose to protect it or notch the stringer so that there is clearance between the hose and stringer. I would assume there are many more out there with the same issue.D3 owners I would add this hose to your inspection list to see if it is laying on the stringer like the photos show below.

This hose has engine coolant in it. A rupture would drain coolant from engine and would be difficult to repair/replace without removal of aftercooler.
