D4 exhaust flap

The rubber flap on my C28 that covers my exhaust outlet has broken off. I tried cutting a replacement out of a rubber sheet that I had in my shop but it soon bulkled and was quickly torn off. I gather the original is made of stronger stuff. Any info on where I might get one, as the marine growth is starting to get too comfortable in my exhaust tube.
 
Marine Hardware is the supplier of the exhaust thru hull .: 425-883-0651call them to see if you can get a replacement flap from them.
