Working with a friend who has a 2017 R29s. We cannot find the DC panel. Sound crazy, but true. Does this boat even HAVE a DC panel? Found the AC panel, obvious. How are the DC circuits protected and switched? My R25sc DC panel is quite obvious and useful...

Thanks

TK

The dc items on the boat are fuse protected most of them are accessed from the head

Thanks. Yup...we found the fuse blocks in the head. The only other DC-related items are the voltmeter on the AC panel and the solar panel controller. Seems like there should be a DC distribution panel similar to the one on my R25sc, but maybe Ranger quit including them. If so, it is the first boat I have seen without such a panel.

This is correct. We are gradually going away from DC panels and using switch panels that are easier accessed and turned on. The main DC switch panel on the R29 is at the helm. All others are individually fuse protected. There are fuse blocks behind the mirror in the head and inside the small access door in the mid cabin.

Thanks Andrew. These folks got some confusing electrical problems. At my suggestion, they put a call into both you and Kenny yesterday and hope one of you will call then back today.

We are their looper buddy boat and hope to cross the gulf from Carrabelle tomorrow.

Regards

Tim

Both Kenny and I called them back today. They had a mechanic onboard that really didn't want to listen to our suggestions so hopefully he has it figured out for them. They were testing batteries when the charger didn't seem to be working which I didn't agree with. We will be standing by.
