Having installed our sunset yellow Portland Pudgy dinghy I realized our boat name was hidden from view for those officials that may want to see it as our boat is USCG documented and has no registration number on the forward hull area.

The boats name LAXEY lettering had been jointly designed by Margauc Serock who owns the Margaux Marine Graphics in Gig Harbor and us. Margaux had installed the name on the transom while at the Factory last year before its sea trial. I contacted Margaux recently and she was kind enough to setup a new order for me with a slightly different color scheme to match the Pudgy's sunset yellow color. First she sent me some trial pieces to make sure the lettering would adhere to the dinghy's hull -- which it did very nicely. Then Margaux mailed me the lettering transfers along with instructions and plastic applicator squeegee and I applied the name etc myself.

So now I'm legal and our R25 no longer has a stark yellow bottom. 😀

The flag motif is the IoM naval flag.... 😉
