deck and courtesy lights on a 2015 R27 not working

On my 2012 R27, I have had to replace the transom door switch twice over the nine years I’ve owned the boat. It’s not an OFF/ON switch. Because there’s also a switch at the helm for those lights, it has to be an ON/ON switch. Those can be tricky to find. However, it will also work with an ON/OFF/ON switch that may be easier to find. That’s what I have now. The OFF position is unused.

Try turning the lights on from the helm to determine if it just the cockpit switch that is has failed. The helm switch is near the horn switch and is labeled deck lights. If you confirm it is the switch pull the switch and check to see if there is a second set of contacts (mine does). If so, you can just move the wires to the connectors for the unused contacts. That fixed mine and it has worked ever since.
