Deisel Fuel filler cap Caution

At this point I'm thinking I will remove the chain completely and simply place the cap in the cup holder nearby when filling tank. I don't see the sense in waiting for the inevitable that most others have experienced. I do have a spare cap mindyou, just in case I fumble. 😉
 
While filling the tank last night, the fuel nozzle got tangled in the chain and broke it. The cap landed on the swin step, but fortunately I was on the trailer, but this would have been a real problem if I was on the water and the cap bounced overboard. I will look into these solutions and also pick up a spare cap.
