Well, it looks like my partner and I will be sea trialing an R-27 on Friday, March 15, as part of the factory's "demo day" at the Port of Everett. Jeff sent us an invitation to the Points North Seminar as well. We won't be able to attend that, but we will be around the wharf Friday afternoon, and maybe the first half of Saturday if we stay over in Everett that night rather than head back south. I'll have my eye peeled for any of the boat names I've come to know on this forum, and perhaps we'll even have a chance to meet some of you if any of you will be there for the seminar.

Meanwhile, if anyone has advice on getting the most out of the sea trial, let us know. We're looking forward to having our first real experience of being on a Ranger Tug -- as fun as it was to climb all over them at the boat show, we know it won't compare to experiencing one on the water and under way.

My sea trials were on a cloudy, flat clam day, but I have been told that the ones done in snotty weather show the boats capability’s much better and are more fun.
enjoy,
John

Good point, John. Guess I'll be crossing my fingers in hope of some lumpy waters!

Is the factory demo day at Everett open to the general public ? I've not seen any advertisement for this !!!!!

Where exactly will the demo be at the Port of Everett, and what time does it start at ?

The demos all seem to be by reservation. I think they may only be for folks who put down deposits at the boat shows. But I don't know that for sure.

Thanks for sharing Gini. We are indeed using this opportunity to get folks out on the water that have shown interest in our boats. If you are interested in taking a ride on a boat Baz, we would be happy to take you out. Perhaps you are thinking about a ride on an R27? 😀
