depth indicator

I am having a problem on my 31CB depth indicator, at speed above 10 knots i loose the depth an all I get is a blinking value that is completely wrong
Under 10 knots it works fine
I have repeatedly topped up the fluid in the reservoir and its does not seem to be low
i have checked the o-ring seal as per my dealers instruction and no issue there
whats next?

I am not on my boat so I am only going by memory, if your fluid is full in the transducer housing and that is confirmed okay then check your settings on the GPS sonar for the gain. It could be the setting that has to do with depths. take a look at your manual. There should be a section on it. Also if you get into considerably deep water the depth sounder looses bottom and will just blink at the last depth it was at.

You also may have barnacles on the hull under the transducer, which can cause air bubbles that cause the sounder to misreport.

What kind of fluid do you add to transducer?

growth can effect as can the water quality. if there is a huge amount of debris in the water near the surface it can get confused: like algae blooms in the surface layer.

You use antifreeze to fill the cup.
