Make the exciting journey north to beautiful Gorge Harbour with the Ranger Tugs & Cutwater Boats factory team!

Each year we lead a group of 40 boats to Desolation Sound. We cruise as a group during the day and join together on the dock in the evenings for happy hours and dinners. It's a great way to travel to Desolation Sound. The final night of the cruise is Saturday, July 28th. We celebrate our accomplishment with a fantastic Bbq on shore at beautiful Gorge Harbor Marina. The following day we part ways. Some stay at Gorge (advanced reservations required), some will turn around and head home, but most stay up for several more days or even weeks to explore the magic of Desolation Sound. We are available entire cruise up to make sure that you have all the information you need to feel confident about your trip home and for all of your cruising plans after we depart from Gorge.

Here is the tentative itinerary for our 2018 Desolation Sound Cruise:

The first official stop of the cruise will be Comox Harbour located on the East Side of Vancouver Island. We will be staying at the Fisherman’s Wharf. Comox Harbour authority can be reached on VHF channel 66A for your slip assignment. Comox has several restaurants within a short walk and is also a great place to provision. http://comoxharbour.com/services

Our second and final stop is Gorge Harbour Marina on Beautiful Cortes Island. The Gorge Harbour Dockmaster can be reached on Channel 66A for slip assignments. http://www.gorgeharbour.com/index.html

Note: you do not need to make moorage reservations at Comox Harbour or Gorge Harbour for the days we have scheduled. We have reserved the dock space and will submit our registration list to them prior to our arrival. You will be responsible for paying your moorage and power at all marinas. If you plan to stay at Gorge harbor on Sunday the 29th or beyond, please make reservations directly with Gorge Harbor.

Why the $100 deposit?
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

we're charging $100 per boat because each year the cruise fills up early and we end up turning people away for months leading up to the cruise. Then we inevitably have several cancelations in the weeks prior to our departure.

Our hope is that the small fee means we will have less attrition this year. It's filling up fast already!

thanks and I hope you guys join us again!

Sam

I got my reservation, and am glad to get it early!

Cheryl's friends from Minnesota are coming out, and the four of us will make the trip. SO looking forward to this.
