We are excited to announce the dates of our second annual Desolation Sound Cruise. The Cruise will leave the Puget Sound area on Friday July 29th. We will cruise north safely together and return at our own leisure. Our first stop will be Center Island in the San Juan Islands. We will anchor in a quiet protective cove on the north side of the Island. There is also a buoy for rafting and a limited amount of dock space for mooring. I am told that a local resident of Center Island will be supplying all you can eat Dungeness crab on Saturday night and giving golf cart tours of the Island. Bring your helmets! On Sunday July 31st we will continue North over the border into the Gulf islands where we will clear customs. We will be plotting out a detailed itinerary at the March 20th seminar however our plan this year is to continue North to Nanaimo before crossing the Strait of Georgia. For those of us that went on the cruise last year it was truly a trip of a lifetime. So what are you waiting for? Please respond to this post to sign up. We will also have a sign up sheet at the Seattle Boat Show.

P.S. We are looking for a cruise director to help handle the details of the trip. No experience necessary! 🙂

Put us down for the trip. Herb, Willie and Jake.

Please put our names down for the trip to Desolation Sound. It sounds like a lot of fun! 😀

Thanks Jeff.

Those considering the cruise might want to check out 'A Gourmet Cruise On Desolation Sound' in the October 2010 issue of PassageMaker. Tempts me to haul Adagio up from Alabama!

Thanks Roman. We will let you know once we confirm the itinerary. It would be fun to meet up with our Canadian Tugnuts on our way north.

We will join you but will be launching from Lund likely. We are spending the first 2 weeks of August in Desolation.

Hi Jeff,

You can count the Wolf Pack in for this cruise as well (from start to finish).

Thanks much.

CarpeDiem is interested. We will be leaving from Ancortes.

Yes, please add Lisa & Leroy on Chiquita for the entire cruise. Thanks so much!

I have everyone signed up thru Chiquita. I am still looking for a cruise director to help me with details. It will be fun and painless. Any volunteers?

Hello Jeff----Kelly and Jens on Danca will be coming around the corner of Quadra Island to join you in Desolation Sound.
When you have a plan as where you will be please let us know. I Iike to suggest you look into Okeover Inlet they have a enlarged new dock at a fine restaurant called Laughing Oyster great place to eat.
Also happy to see you will be going North thru the Golf Islands to Nanaimo, don't let the looks of Dood Narrows scare you I have gone thru there many times there is plenty of water dept just time it with the tide.
Jens and Kelly

We will join the cruise to Desolation as you reach Saltspring Island or in Nanaimo depending on the final plans . We have just traded our R25 Kairos in on a R29 and will launch it next week in Vancouver.
We are definitely looking forward to this!

David & Joanna: Congratulations on getting your R29. 🙂

We are on Salt spring. Do you think that the 21 EC would be too small for this trip? Were there any on last year's trip? Thanks. Allan

You will have no trouble with the 21. I am working with jeff on the plans as we speak. Would be more than happy to cruise with you.

Thanks
Patrick
Thats it
