Has anyone put a dinghy on a 302c and what did you use and how did you mount it ?

When I was at the Seattle Boat Show, one of the representatives Showed me a picture of a customer who kept an inflated soft bottom dingy up againstthe backnof the transom. It was secured between the propane locker and the outboards. I don’t know how successful they were, especially with any speed, nor do I know how they fastened it. It did however fit. We looked at the 302 and considered it. A lot of people opt for inflatable kayaks. We have a soft bottom Dinghy that’s a few years old that we routinely kept deflated in our cockpit until we reached our destination before inflating it. You may be faced with doing the same.

We have a Cutwater 302 Coupe and purchased a PRU-3 inflatable dinghy from West Marine that fits nicely on our swim platform without touching either 300 hp Suzuki outboard. we use an electric motor for power and after removal the inflatable dinghy is easily pulled out, turned sideways, and strapped against the transom so its not touching the engines. I think it all depends on the height of the inflatable. Bill

in the attached album under Cutwater 302 Coupe, you can see the dinghy mounted in the back and secured to the transom. In this picture, the engines are actually raise with props out of the water with the dinghy in place.
