Looking through the albums I do not see any dinghy's being carried on top of their
boats. Inflated or deflated in bag. I don't think I will be using it all that much but would like to have one. Is it to much trouble to take down?

Thanks for any advice

On that boat, I would think it is easier to strap it to a davit on the swim platform, as opposed to putting it on top of the boat.

We have a two person inflatable kayak we keep on top. It is a bit of a challenge to move it up and down but doable. I think a dinghy would be much more difficult unless you use a roof Davits or it were a small one with an inflatable floor and kept deflated in a bag.

Kind of my thoughts. I was thinking if I stored it deflated in bag on the starboard side on top, and a 2.5 hp motor on the starboard side it would help with the list to port. Putting it on the back platform seems to make the most sense.

Thanks

You might want to look at kaboats. These are narrow dinghies like a regular inflatable. The smallest one is 12 ft long and weighs 45 lbs. similar in size to a Kajak but more stable , with a transom to mount an engine. Can be easily stored on top of the tug

Thanks for the information. Looks like a well built inflatable and not as much as the West Marine 8ft model.A lot of good people on this form.

Thanks
