Hello everyone... My wife and I are upgrading from our C28 to a C302 which we are also putting into charter with Bellingham Yachts. I love the speed advantage of the dual outboards but the one disadvantage is no great way of hauling a dinghy. Given that this is going into charter it would be great if it had a dinghy of some sort at least as an option.

I've been looking at inflatables and there are some pretty light weight roll-ups that could work. They pack down pretty small storage wise and are repetitively light at under 60 lbs. Matt was thinking Ronnie could rig something up so it could still be strapped to the back of the transom while underway but my question is just how practical is it going to be to get it in and out of the water onto the swim step? 60 lbs is still pretty heavy when you have no room to maneuver.

I have a nice davit style electric crab pot puller that I thought could potentially be used to help get it out of the water and into the cockpit but looking for other ideas or thoughts. It may just end up being too big a pain to be practical.

inflatable two person kayak?

my dinghy is light (50lbs) and packs *relatively small - its still a large blob of space.
its a takacat from NZ (model T260S)https://www.takacat.com/inflatable-catamaran/sport-series/.
Once its in the bag I can haul it around but when inflated its difficult to maneuver due to its size.

IMHO dinghy storage is the biggest draw back of the outboard models.

congrats on the upgrade though; Id love a 302!
