Dinghy rack for free

I’ve changed my dinghy setup and no longer need this rack. Free to a good home.

It's brilliant, but how hard is it to get the dinghy up on the rack by myself?

I have the Dingy Lift option and didn't realize that leaving the dingy attached to the lift I couldn't get the lift down far enough to remove the engine cover. Of course the boat was on a rack when I discovered this and I believe the only way to get the cover off requires putting the dingy into the water.

I like the solution in the video, but like AGLyme I'm curious about the amount of effort required and the number of people needed to safely remove the dingy and then return it to the rack.

As for being able to see behind the boat, I'm planning to use an RV trailer backup camera and display. With the Dingy lift it is difficult to see well when docking aft first and when trolling. Just have to determine the right place to mount the camera.

We bought a West Marine RU250. About 50 pounds. The procedure is as follows: throw the bow line up over the rack to the port side. Have your mate hold onto it there. Then pull the boat up against the starboard side, facing straight up. Then lift the boat up about three feet and have your mate flop in down into the rack. Not too difficult. (I’m 74 btw). I also experimented with an electric winch attached to the Scotty pad. That worked ok too.

It seems that is only two sections.. if so, taping them together , would UPS or FEDeX ship them? I will check..
