I got an empty tool box and bought a winch from harbor freight. The winch came with a metal line that I switched out for a rope. It is much easier to retrieve. There was room to install Dakota Lithium 12v 23Ah Battery. The winch operates with a remote. Makes retrieving the dinghy very simple. The box is mounted on the port side of our Ranger 29. The rope is threaded through a pulley. We plan to install a solar charger for the lithium battery.
