Does anyone have an opinion as to which dinghy works well being carried on the swim platform?

Going through the albums I see an assortment of inflatables and hard bottoms such as the Portland Pudgy and the Livingston, most are 8'6" or under. All of these would work well while on the water but while towing I would think only a hard bottom would work and then it would be quite a wind drag at speed. We carry our small inflatable on the roof of our C-Dory but I am looking forward to the ease of launching from the swim step when we get our Ranger 25SC. I am sure owners will chime in with their experience.

Russ,
Talk to Ranger (Jeff Messmer) about the new launch system that is available through them, it works great launching from the roof.

If this is a product that Ranger is selling or intends to sell they really should offer a link to it for people to review etc. I wonder what it's pricing is ?

Barry,
This is the launch system that Bob has on Nellie Too. Jeff had it on display on the R-29 at the Seattle Boat Show. The difference between Bob's and the one that Jeff had on board is that Bob's is 120 volts so you must be on shore power or have your generator on. Bob designed the proto type.

If you go into Nellie Too's photo album, sub album "Nellie Too on the Sammamish "Slough" River", you will see some pictures of it.
