HI there,
We have a swim platform and the factory swim platform rails. we're contemplating getting a 9' , 63Lb PVC dingy. No outboard. I'm interested in a cost effective method of mounting the inflated dinghy off the aft side of the swim platform rails. We can lift 63Lb. What have folks done?

The swim platform version of this looks exactly like what we need! Thank you

You want the davit brackets on the swim platform to be 4” up and 4” out. Even with that lift, you will still be dragging the rear lower dinghy tube in the water. Suggest you use either the Weaver glue or HH-66 Vinyl Cement to bond the dinghy side davit pads to the dinghy. Follow glue instructions to the letter!
We have a Zodiac 270 Alu RIB on our C-28. That’s 8.9 ft in length. Swim platform bracket install is offset to allow the dinghy’s nose to extend about 3” further to starboard than the aft tubes extend to the port side. The dinghy nose is high and we haven’t had any problems with it rubbing against a dock.
