I moved our solar panel to the port side as far as possible to make room for a BRIS inflatable.

It’s light enough to throw up top from the cockpit. We bought a Davit to hoist the motor on and off as we have 6hp which is to heavy to handle like Martin does.

All works well for us.

We use a 10' Takacat 300 and carry it inverted on top of the Bimini.

Has anyone installed a Dinghy Caddy lift system on a R -27 with an inboard? The advantage of this system is that the dink more or less is lifted out of the water horizontally, obviating the need to remove the outboard motor.

We also have a 6hp motor which is a bit clunky to lug around and your davit idea sounds terrific. Do you have any photos you can share that would show placement, size etc.? Thank you!
