Can you put a dingy on the Ranger 25? I would like to get one with a 10-15 HP motor.

If so...how do you recommend transporting it?

Thank you --

Tim,
We tow ours behind us. I had the flag staff removed and replaced with a center pull. The aft area had to be reinforced to insure that it would not pull out. We have towed our thirteen foot Boston Whaler as well as our nine foot whaler and our nine foot inflatable all with no issues.

Why would you want/need such a large engine? That's awfully big/heavy for a dingy. A 4HP is usually enough if all you need to do is go from the boat to the shore at an anchorage. There are pictures in some of the albums of how folks carry one on the step at the stern of a 25.

I assume you mean an inflatable. We just ordered the EZ-LIFT Inflatable davit system ($139.99 at affordableinflatable.com). It's been delivered and it looks pretty good for the price. I will let everyone know how it works out.

I just installed the EZ-Lift system, but have not tried it yet on the water. I did mount the davits on 40" lengths of 2"x3" aluminum tubing which extend about 16" behind the swim platform. This way the swim platrom is still usable with the inflatable in the davits.
