We have a 2020 Cutwater 28 LE equipped with a Volvo-Penta 270 and a Garmin 8612xsv.
When the Garmin and the engine are fired up the multi function display, (MFD), reports the engine data I have chosen to have displayed. These data include fuel flow rate, total fuel economy, fuel remaining, and oil pressure. These data will continue to be present until I turn on the autopilot from it's panel. Note that the autopilot has not been engaged, just turned on. When the autopilot is turned on the data boxes remain on-screen but display 2 dashes. Only engine data is affected; gps speed, heading information, time of day etc, continue to display. Turning the autopilot screen off does not restore the engine data to the MFD. Turning off the engine and restarting with the autopilot off does not restore the data to the MFD. But after the boat is, "Put up", and restarted a day or two later, the data is again displayed, until the autopilot is turned on.
Can you advise what the source of this issue might be?
Thanks
Brian,
