We’re moving our (new to us) R29-CB to Cap Sante marina in Anacortes. Any recommendations for divers? And how often do you suggest dive service for a boat that will be in the water year round? We have aluminum anodes except for prop nut as we couldn’t find that - anyone found aluminum for the prop?

We also have a hard ablative bottom paint (Seahawk Biocop TF). Given that, how much scrubbing can a diver actually do without removing the bottom paint? Or are they mostly just cleaning the prop and trim tabs and replacing anodes?

Finally, any recommendations for boat detailing/waxing in the Anacortes area?

Thanks!

He did my anodes two months ago for an R29S.
$260 for anodes, labor, tax

He brought SCUBA yet did not use it. It keeps his overhead down that way.

He will check bottom and scrub it if needed for more $.

Jeff is prompt, honest, and straight forward. He will tell you exactly what you need.

He said six months for some anodes. I think he said the big expensive anode block is probably good for a year.

So he is like a dentist, every six months call him.

I am in Anacortes Marina, just south of you.

Forgot to answer detailing:

Two months ago Roman Yacht Detailing quoted for R29S
$2,300 for hull and top or $1,500 for top (probably add tax?)
Ph 509-830-9322

That is probably the going rate yet I can’t see paying that and it only last 6 months I think.
My boat is not very faded. Price is based on how bad boat is. Yours would probably be more since you have the flying bridge. I am having my 25 year old son do mine. I don’t need it to look like a show boat. Show boat will only be for the first month.

Thanks! That's very helpful. And wow, detailing is expensive! Guess I'll try cleaning myself....

The $260 was $90 labor. My guess is he pays less than $170 for anodes and makes a profit on that. He does it in about half hour.
