I just had the zincs changed on my boat. I have a divers dream but the posts dont line up with a standard large plate. so we always end up having the divers drill the plate to fit the holes. this time they didnt have a drill. so we were creative!

their initial suggestion was to mount on just one post but I was worried that they might pick a post that wasnt bonded (I wasnt sure that all posts were bonded?)

so I had them add two zincs overlapping each other on both posts.

I can see an issue where the gap between the zincs wears and the zincs no longer touch but as there is a zinc on either post at least one should be working?

the question is: will the bonding only work if there is an connection between the posts created by the zinc?

On our R27 it is pretty easy to see the bonding wires at the stern by just pulling the tray under the rear seat. Can you get access to see? As long as you have one bonded it should do the job the other would be just wasted without doing anything.

I’m curious why there are three posts on your boat? Is there a divers dream with three holes?

its not clear why I ended up with three posts.

ill lift the tray and have a look.
