Not to start a huge discussion, but it might, does anyone think RT/Fluidmotion will be building a RT 35?

a 33 would cure two foot it is for some of us. we have a R-31CB

I think the challenge with these ever increasing sizes for ranger tugs is the market becomes more competitive.

I think the fit out in a ranger whilst from a layout perspective is smart and works well for boats in the $150-$300K range, I think with the larger boats they start to run into challenges competing on quality for the price.

IMHO people looking into 35foot plus boats are less interested in speed but in comfort and other brands come into play

such as https://www.helmsmantrawlers.com/helmsman-trawlers/38e-pilothouse/
look at the quality of the cabinetry for $485K

i'd love to talk with a couple of R41 owners and understand their purchasing thought process. Also I doubt the 41 was ever designed to be built at high production numbers like say the R27. so they needed a much smaller pipeline of customers interested and are heavily relying on the pool of passionate existing Ranger customers.
With the 35 size: is that a more challenging length to manage customer pipeline vs scaled production costs vs competitive pressure? I don't know just speculating.

here's another example of the competitive market the larger boats have to compete in...

I would love to see a Ranger Tug in the 35 to 37 foot range. The 41 is a beautiful boat, and I think the price point is fair for all it has to offer, but it is too big for my needs, and thus too expensive for me.
My current 29 classic is just about right, but a few more feet in length and beam would be perfect for me.

Not living aboard full time. I would be okay doing it, but my wife wouldn't. I was thinking more of a month or two at a time.
