Greetings, I’m wondering if any Cutwater/RangerTugs have completed the Down East Loop (Out the St. Lawerence, around the Gaspe peninsula, down the Nova Scotia coast and back to the NE US)? If so, I would love to chat!

The great thing about Rangers and Cutwaters is their portability. I drove my R 27 from Florida to Rimiska, Quebec, left the boat at an RV camp and took my truck, and drove around the Gaspe Peninsula, with one hill at 18% going into Perce, must see the hole in the rock, thankfully, no boat! Retrieved my boat and headed to Shediac, NB. Launched my vessel and headed for PEI, great bicycle trails, and oysters. Then to Ballintines Cove, the bluefin tuna capital of the world, and an overstatement, but great video of its activities, then on to Port Hawkesbury and Cape Breton. Great cruising around Bras d ' Or Lakes. maybe go over to Sydney, then take a Taxi and do the Cabot Trail, about a day, but well worth the vistas, Maybe take another taxi to Fort Louisburg, a great study in the history of the area. And by all means, spend some time in Baddeck and take in the Alexander Bell museum and learn that Bell did a lot more than just the telephone. and if possible take in the Opera, the Bells of Baddeck, and the extra of meeting an actual third-generation Bell. Then stop at the Grand Narrows and hike up to the Highland Village, a recreation and timeline of the Scottish settlers and life in Cape Breton. I spent about a month and a half in Bras d'Or Lakes, well worth the time. Was able to load my boat on the trailer before Hurricane Fiona, then trailered to Peggy's Cove before returning to Maine and a wonderful drive with leaves turning colors at peak performance.

Wow, sounds like a great trip! Thanks for response and the itinerary. Rather than trailering to the Erie canal for a launch, perhaps trailer a bit further? That solves some fuel/range anxiety going down the Nova Scotia coast. Thanks again!
