drain plug

Hello,

Not sure if this is a concern but the drain plug does not screw all the way flushed with the hull. Plug is brass. Its half in, half out but tight. I cleaned the threads on the boat and the plug itself.

Comments?

Boat is a Tug2021 R25.

The biggest problem is that it is brass. Never use a brass drain plug - use bronze. As long as it is tight, and bronze, you should be good.

They aren’t designed to be flush when tight. It’s a tapered thread. NPT, I believe.
