I'm hauling my r 27 to Ft Lauderdale in a few weeks.
Any suggestions on slip locations that are not $80 per day?
I intend to stay for a week at a time and fly back, but will keep the boat there for a few months.
Thank you for any insights,
John

Las olas in Ft Lauderdale is nice and a convenient spot to beach and entertainment. A little far to groceries, but a cab or uber works good.

THanks, I booked it today!

While there check out Cooley’s Landing, up the New River and downtown Ft Lauderdale. It’s a City marina as is Los Olas.

You can also anchor in Lake Sylvia, just south of Bahia Mar. Chanel in is 5-6' deep (stay to the left when entering) and the "lake" is 10-14'. Nice break from the pricey marinas. Kick back and grill some burgers and enjoy a cold one or two. Another good anchorage if you get as far as Miami is No Name Harbor, a quiet keyhole harbor at the southern tip of Key Biscayne. Get there early on a weekday as there is room for only ten or so boats inside. For eats there is a decent Cuban restaurant you can dinghy over to,
