Hi Folks,
We are considering moving our C28 from Everett down to Edmonds. We have read the October 2016 Tugnuts thread and get the impression people are generally happy being home based in Edmonds.

Does anyone have anything to add to the earlier thread either plus or minus? We walked the docks today and we're pretty happy with what we saw.

Do you use a local shops for maintenance, or do you take your boat to Everett or ?

Has anyone joined the Edmonds Yacht Club? If so, what are your impressions?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin and Lori

We are one of 4 C28's on S dock and happy with our moorage at the Edmonds Marina. Not cheap, but they do seem attentive to our needs. Gas dock very convenient and user friendly. We joined the EYC. It's very low key, but has lot's of activities for those who wish to participate; dues about $400/y.
There currently is no certified Volvo mechanic in Edmonds since Jacobson's took Doug away from us. There are other folks capable of doing the work in town or you can take your boat down to Shilshole and let Coastal do the work, saves travel $$. The Yacht club is a good way of connecting with local boaters. They have lots of cruises.

Regarding Edmonds Marina. We had our R-27 there and were very displeased with the way the office treated us. Not always helpful or truthful. We are back in Everett in a POE owned boathouse. Mush less expensive than Edmonds.

thanks folks.
