Electric Motor for Dinghy

I use a cable and pad lock. Run the cable through the battery handle and lock to the loop in the transom

One aspect of looking at the cost of the Torqeedo outboard motor is what you might sell it for when you decide when to quit boating. I'm in my mid-eighties and think I have a few more years in my tank. However, when I make that final decision to stay home I am positive I can sell the Torqeedo (1003) for almost the what I bought it for. If it needs a new battery than I could reduce the price by the cost o a new battery. I have already had an offer to buy my Torqeedo.

I still like the fact that I can take the motor apart in three pieces and I can get it attached to the dinghy fairly easy. After two years it still looks brand new. And no, I am not selling at this point--Torqeedo and I still have some exploring to do in the San Juan Islands (WA). My best to you all.
