I had the vexing problem with the Princess electric cook top. Turns out some of the boats have an under sized breaker, mine was one. Running it off shore power I could trip the breaker when running both elements. The two burner cook top needs a 25 amp breaker, not 15.

I wasn't familiar with the 360 system from Blue Seas and was thoroughly confused on what breaker to get. Thanks to Kevin and Richard for setting me straight.

I couldn't buy the breaker locally, none of the local shops carried it. I ordered it from Amazon, and it took several days and more than one delay to get it. Should have ordered it somewhere else.

Once I got the part it was a bit more complicated to install than I thought it would be. There are a lot of cover plates and small screws. Some 'fiddly bits' as the British would say. It does seem very robust.

That's the panel when it comes out of the wall.

Here's the back as I am about to install the new breaker:

While not particulary familiar with marine electrical systems, I did a lot of electrical work for the phone company and that experience helps. If you tackle this be careful. Shut off all power, check with meter, etc.

On shore power I can now run both burners, no problem.

Not sure the MASE generator can run both burners, might draw too many amps for that.

Off to the store to buy scallops!!
