2008 Ranger Tug, 150 hp cummings engine, plugged into dock today and panel did not indicate the AC side of electric was on..., just the DC side was indicated???

Checked some breakers, un-plugged and plugged in again...nothing on the ac current side...

Any help out there???

I would start with the easiest checks and work inward. Is the breaker on at the shore power box? If yes then check the shore power cord with a multimeter to see if you have a reading at the female end? If yes, check the AC panel 30A breaker - is it bad? Also, I would take 5 minutes and pull the boat side shore power receptacle to confirm all okay at that point. I recently converted from twist and screw system to a SmartPlug system and found a real and serious mess on the boat connector. Also, there is a 3A fuse in the upper left corner of AC panel which controls (I think) the voltmeter, did you physically check to see that you had no power or just did not see a indication on the voltmeter? Just a few of my thoughts.

Also, check the ELCI breaker.

Double check the power switch is on "shore".

Just dreaming,

There is AC power coming into the boat and we checked all you mentioned.

On the panel the only thing getting AC power is the battery charger...

The refrig. and all the outlets are not getting any ac power. This was verified.

Well that is a head scratcher.
One sub-circuit working on the panel. I can not address the fridge circuit, on our 2009 (2008 build) the unit is 12V. The fridge sub-circuit on the AC panel is just there nothing running off of it. I am not an electrician but it almost sounds as if the power coming off of the main 30A breaker is not is not getting distributed down the AC Hot Bus bar or the AC Neutral Bus bar.

I believe shore power passes through the inverter/charger first. Check the fuses and resets there. I'm not well versed in that side of things but maybe someone else could comment.

Also, it's interesting the fridge isn't running as that should be running off the 12v house.

The inverter selector switch isn't set to "off" is it"? Should be on "charge".

I am not 100% certain, and can not recall (going on 8 years now), when we purchased our R25 classic new I do not think an inverter was an option on the 25 classic so if one is present and wired in I am guessing it would be aftermarket. On our MY 2009 ('08 build) the battery charger comes right off of the AC distribution panel.

So, what else was done regarding the AC/DC inverter. We switched 'off' the DC to the fridge just as a check to make sure there was AC going to the fridge.

Thats when it was discovered there was no AC to the fridge as well as the outlets.

So, not sure if this build came with any inverter originally at all, ...but has an aftermarket add-on currently.

The 30A breaker is the one located on your AC panel. This breaker controls AC power into the boat AC System, and, if like the Blue Seas panel on our vessel the breaker is located on the left side of panel at the top. I am not on the boat at the moment but I believe it is labeled "Shore".
