With it wired with a single 120V input, it just a 30amp charger, to use the 50amp capability you'd have to use split phase 120V inputs.

The wires are already sized and protected for 30amps on the boat.

Does the inverter allow you to set it so when the power goes out the inverter stops providing power unless manually activated? Ex. hooked to shore power running a heater, power goes out, I don't want the batteries to die.

Yes! Unlike the Kisae there is a "charger only" mode that not only charges but provides AC power to the outlets when it is plugged into shore power. And to switch on the inverter its a simple toggle instead of a complicated series of menus with the little control panel before.

Thanks, Watson, for answering on my behalf, yep that's all right! One thing not to forget to do is tighten all of your connections... I had tp relocate my main ground bus slightly and change the orientation from horizontal to vertical, and in doing so I hastily forgot to tighten the main ground bus lead properly, and my batteries were not charging properly... :shock:

Start at the source
Verify Shore Power cable is energized,
Verify the ECLI is not tripped
Check AC voltage at the inverter/charger Line(input) Load (output).
This will isolate the issue regarding if it is the inverter charger or further upstream at the AC Panel.

Do you have a Victron BMV 712 as well? If so, do you have the Battery Monitor on the Multiplus turned off or on?

Heading to my boat this weekend to tackle replacing my failed ProMariner with a new Victron Multiplus II... and was surprised how much larger the Victron is compared to the ProMariner. Did anyone have problems fitting the Victron into the same space as the ProMariner? Any photos perhaps? Thanks!

I had the Kisae, not the PM one. Either way, the Victron one was larger but had no problem fitting it in my R31.

Here are some rough photos of my installation. The only weird thing about the install is technically it is supposed to be mounted vertically, so to monut it horizontally you will need to install the two mounting screws first on the top (aft for me) then slide it forward and then place the two lower screws. I was initially worried that it wouldn't be secure, but it hasn't move at all.
