Hi,
I am having electrical issues with my boat i believe its all be caused by a malfunctioning rotary switch, that switches between, shore, invertor and generator. I have ordered a new one but not sure i can switch it out correctly. Is this something a basic DIY can do. I have reached out to my local dealer for help but they can't even tell me when they can book an appointment Any suggestions or maybe recommend a Marine Electrician. My boat is 20 miles south of Boston in Braintree Ma

Changing it should not be a big issue. If it is exactly the same, just take a picture of the current connections and then reconnect the wires to the new one. I would probably tag each wire with a different number before taking the picture and then also make a diagram of the connections with the corresponding number.
