I'm looking at replacing the Garmin 5212 plotter in our 2012 R25 with a new 1243xsv unit and looking for a bit of input on component location.
I have a HGC20 auto pilot module in the dash which I understand can now be removed and the auto pilot controlled through the new plotter?
Where is the transducer usually mounted before I start ripping up panels looking for it.
Is there a NEMA 2000 bus mounted someplace?
I also have to replace the radar as it got water into the housing and corroded the main circuit board. I can replace it with the same HD18 or upgrade to a Fantom unit and for the few hundred bucks I'm leaning to the Fantom.
Anything I'm missing?
