I just saw the demo video of these fire extinguishers. Pretty amazing. They will not replace your boat extinguishers as they dont meet the container requirement but I would sure grab this first as they don't leave any residue when putting out a fire.

Almost got the chance to almost use the elementfire extinguisher the other day. A guy yelled over to me and we could see a boat that looked like it was smoking from the bilge and had lost power. I grabbed the elementfire stuffed it in my pocket and was able
to move across a few boats, and with both hands freed up it was a lot easier to maneuver without a large extinguisher and loose control of one arm. Ended up being a cooling hose running thick steam first looking like the start of a really bad day.
I highly recommend one as it is more effective and easier to carry

Impressive. I'm sure from a safety standpoint it would be an improvement over my haylon extinguisher for the lab. Got caught once when the haylon system went off in a computer room years ago and you don't have long to get out once it goes off.
I'd also think it would be good on a boat. Hope UL and the GC approve soon, but I expect it would take a while to get UL to change it's container requirement.

Thanks for posting, I hadn't come across this before.

I have one on our boat (in addition to the CG required units) and one in our laundry room at home. Extremely compact and easy to find a handy mounting location The only drawback, you can't stop it once started. However this is not enough to keep me from still making this my first choice in case of a fire. Hope they get CG approval.
