Our Marina does not have a functioning pumpout station. The nearest option is 5 miles one way.

Has anyone devised a safe (and legal) way to empty the blackwater tank while in the water without a pump out station?

I was thinking about the macerator pump system and a blue tote like we had for our old RV.

Any good solutions?

It is some work, but a 5HP wet-vac will pull out a black water tank with no problem. have done it many times. The hard part is carrying it to a commode, hopefully close by. Do not overfill. It gets very heavy.

Worth a shot. Great idea.

Another possible solution would be to use the macerator pump and capture the stream as it exited the port with tubing jammed into the hull fitting. I’ve heard others doing the macerator and tubing solution at land based RV dump stations. To capture the liquid you could use one of these on the dock.

Just a theoretical concept, no idea if it would really work cleanly.

Thanks Dave B. I read about the mobile solution earlier today!

+2 for scross. Be sure you plug in to the correct discharge hole and stand back while the Admiral hits the overboard switch from inside.
