I have been trying to get our boat to Kevin VanderHeyden for a much-needed wet sanding and ceramic coat of our faded dark blue hull. Some of you have done this and your reports spurred me into pulling the trigger on this. But, I need to get the boat to him in Snohomish on a trailer if he is going to do the work this winter. It is just too cold and too miserable to do it on the hard in a boat yard, even a covered boat yard, because the coating does not set up properly at low temps. It needs to be in a shop.

So I am reaching out to see if any of the PNW folks might have an empty trailer in their yard (presuming your boat is in the water) that will fit a R29CB and that you would be willing to rent for two weeks this month. PM me if so. Thanks.

Jeff it would be great if we could find someone that a trailer for us to use.
I will sweeten the deal by offering a discount on the trailer owners detail or ceramic coating of there boat. PM me if interested. Kevin

Try Waypoint Marine Group in Ballard. I used to moor there a couple of years ago and they rent trailers.

Thanks. I have an email into them. Good suggestion.

I can't help with a 29, but I have a trailer for a 27OB (2018). Especially if it would help with the cost of the ceramic coating.

This is a fantastic offer. I paid almost $700 to have my boat hauled out via the sling, put on a trailer, then parked under a covered awning at Port of Everett. Boat was there for 4 days while it was ceramic coated.

Besides the actual cost of the effort, there's also the scheduling aspect of it. I was told that I got the last spot available (back in October!), as they (Port of Everett, covered spots on the hard) were all booked out into January 2022.

Being able to drag the boat over to Kevin's shop for ceramic coating would be a great option to have.
