It's with a heavy heart that we hauled out TUG U taking advantage of the high tides and nice weather, and a very simple winterize.the only good thing is I get to stare at it in the driveway till spring, see ya all at the north east rendezvous.

My condolences to you and all the Tugnuts living in the frozen wastelands who don't get to cruise year round. You will be in my thoughts as I cruise through the San Juan Islands this winter.

You can have the San Juans in the winter. Through the miracle invention of the wheel we will leave the frozen waste land which in our case would be in Pa. We head for a month or two in the Florida Keys with other like minded Tugnuts. We even have to use A.C. once in a while. You can actually swim in the water there without a wetsuit. Shorts and t-shirts are the norm. A lot less wood floating around down there. Plus it does not rain there all that much.

Ditto Scuffy. He also forgot, no stern tie, soft bottom, two foot tide, free showers, dock hands, free Friday night movies at the marina, no timing rapids. However, the PNW was a great place to be for the summer!

I couldn't agree more about the great boating in Florida. My favorites are the Fort Myers area, Sanibel Island and the upper keys. But, if you can't travel south for the winter, better to be in the Pacific Northwest than somewhere where you have to put your boat in mothballs for a few months. Winter boating here is great as well. Just different than in the south.
