What product can I use to help limit engine and generator noise in cabin and cockpit? I have a 2009 R-25 with 150 hp diesel

I already tried that, but I could not get them tight enough together to create a good seal. Also, when they fell off , they jammed up the bilge pump.

Do a search for "marine sound insulation" and you will get lots of info. Where I worked building boats we used "Soundown" insulation to tame the noise from the twin 1300 hp Volvo diesels. It came in thickness varying from 1/2" to 3", anything over 1" had a rubber layer in the middle of the foam. Worked great, very expensive.
