Engine Start 2x Blinking Red LED

Thank you for the reply regarding Blue Water. Based on your experience I have gotten on their wait list to have my software updated.
I was on another company's wait list, who I won't mention here, but when the time came for them to call back and schedule they never did. I called again and, after waiting over a month for a call back, same thing happened! Maybe Covid related? Since I'm not sure, I'll leave the company unnamed.
My boat is in Little Harbor Marina in Ruskin now so I know BWM covers the area.
Thanks again!
Terry

Here is how the story ends.
Volvo Tech came to visit the boat on site. He spent about a half day trying to get the fobs he brought to talk to the boat. He tried every which way to no avail. He said the next possibility is that the electronic key (I think that is what you call it. You rub you fob over it to start the engine) failed. So he ordered one and came back a few days later to install it. Bingo! The device had failed and when it was replaced and used with yet another set of fobs that came with it, the boat finally started.
So I am happy about that. But the part cost $1000, not counting labor. I will post a picture of this part for those of you who would be interested. To my layman’s eyes, it should cost about 40 bucks, and because it goes in a boat mark it up to 200. But 1000? I felt ripped off. I believe the mechanic when he told me that Volvo charged it not him. Anyhow happy to have a working boat but feeling a little abused in my wallet.

OUCH!
Sometimes I’m really happy with obsolete technology! New key for R-25 Classic ignition at Ace Hardware about $2. If I had to replace the entire ignition switch assembly (with new key) that’s about $25 and 30 minutes work.
